Abimael Guzmán the founder and leader of the Shining Path guerrilla movement which spread terror across much of Peru in the 1980s and 90s died on Saturday in Peru. Abimael Guzmán the mastermind of the Shining Path terrorist organization in Peru a brutal Maoist movement that nearly toppled the countrys government in the 1980s and early 1990s leaving.
